Source: Rollins agrees to Minors deal with Giants

The Giants have agreed to a Minor League contract with veteran shortstop Jimmy Rollins, according to multiple reports. The club has not confirmed the deal, which reportedly also includes an invitation to Spring Training.

Rollins, an Oakland native and graduate of Alameda's Encinal High School, did not play after he was released by the White Sox in June. He hit .221/.295/.329 with two home runs in 41 games for Chicago.

The 38-year-old Rollins is a .264/.324/.418 career hitter in 17 seasons with the Phillies, Dodgers and White Sox. Rollins, the 2007 National League Most Valuable Player, is a four-time Gold Glove Award winner and three-time All-Star.
