In the midst of the San Francisco Giants taking 2-out-of-3 from the San Diego Padres, there was another scare for Giants fans. Right fielder Andrew McCutchen had a scare as he got hit by a pitch in his left elbow. McCutchen was removed from the game, and went to get x-rays. Thank goodness for Giants fans, they came back negative. McCutchen is now listed as day-to-day, and the Giants will have to mix and match to fill their outfield.
Outfielder Mac Williamson still isn’t cleared, and he’s not expected to join the team till Saturday.
