It’s sure has felt like the San Francisco Giants keep discovering new ways to not score runs in the past several weeks. But a rare play in Monday’s loss in Phoenix surely had at least some Giants feeling deja vu about one bad-behaving Diamondbacks fan.
San Francisco was trailing 3-2 with one out in the eighth inning when Christian Koss drove a ball deep to left-center field. Just as Dbacks left fielder Tim Tawa leaped for the ball, a fan wearing Dbacks gear leaned to his left, going over the outfield fence and made the catch near Tawa.
