And a very different kind of celebrity first pitch — it is really amazing the staying power of the love of a fanbase, once earned. Dave Dravecky pitched barely 180 innings for the Giants—even including his scintillating post-season work—the last of those nearly 30 years ago. But it seems like I can remember every one of them.
