SF Giants middle infield prospect Nate Furman has thrived since returning from the injured list in June. On Tuesday, he was recognized as the Northwest League Player of the Week from August 25 - August 31, per a team announcement.

The Giants acquired Furman, along with Jacob Bresnahan, last summer in a deal that sent Alex Cobb to the Cleveland Guardians. Cobb had not thrown up until that point, and made three starts for Cleveland down the stretch.
