The SF Giants are spiraling down the drain right now and it feels a little like the world is ending. However, there has at least been one bright spot of positivity with second baseman Casey Schmitt who is thriving at the plate right now.
In an otherwise gut-wrenching, embarrassing, and soul-crushing loss to the San Diego Padres on Wednesday, Schmitt racked up four base hits in the 11-1 rout. In Schmitt's last 15 games he is slashing a solid .276/.323/.448 with two home runs and seven runs batted in.

The last time the Giants won which, do not hold me to this, I believe was sometime back in Obama's first term, Schmitt blasted a home run to power the team to victory.
