SF Giants catcher fires absolute laser to throw out MLB's fastest runner

Being the fastest man in baseball doesn’t mean a damn thing to San Francisco Giants catcher Patrick Bailey.

The 25-year-old made the biggest play of the night Tuesday when he threw out Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., who was trying to steal second base in the top of the eighth. The play not only would have been Witt’s 17th steal of the season, tying him with Luis Robert Jr. of the White Sox for second in the league, but it also would have put the Kansas City runner in scoring position as the Giants clung to a 3-2 lead, the eventual final score.
