San Francisco faced two of Major League Baseball’s bottom-dwellers in the Marlins and White Sox this week, yet still went 1-5 in the stretch, with a plethora of issues impacting the team. Their position players mostly aren’t hitting, and when they do get on base, they’re getting thrown out before reaching home plate. And even the solid pitching staff is starting to make mental mistakes, perhaps wilting under the burden they’re carrying from a lackluster offense.
