Michael Conforto and the Giants have an agreement on a two-year, $36 million deal, with an opt-out after the first year, according to ESPN and others. As Boras learned this week, though, who knows what an agreement with the Giants is really worth without a signature on the dotted line.

Earlier this week, the Giants backed out of a deal with Boras client Carlos Correa, purportedly over an eight-year-old ankle injury.
