The San Francisco Giants beating the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLDS was the main reason for celebration on Friday, but there were also some pretty big accomplishments in the Minor Leagues, if you want to start thinking about future Giants teams while watching the 107-win one.
It was announced on Friday that Giants prospect Luis Matos, an outfielder for the San Jose Giants, was named the Low-A West Most Valuable Player. His teammate, left-handed pitcher Kyle Harrison, was named Pitcher of the Year.
