Saturday BP: Anthony DeSclafani’s shutouts are very notable

On Friday night, Anthony DeSclafani wove a pitching masterpiece, which led the San Francisco Giants to a 1-0 win in their series opener against the Washington Nationals.

DeSclafani gave up just two hits, one walk, and, crucially, no runs, while pitching all nine innings. It was his second shutout of the young season, and the broadcast crew was quick to point out that he only had one career shutout entering the season.
