The SF Giants have been on an absolute tear as of late, winning eight of their last nine games and rekindling hope for the playoffs. In the process, rookie outfielder Drew Gilbert has provided a unique energy the team has sorely missed.
For a team that looked simply dreadful for so long, they have seemingly flipped the script and now look like a team hellbent on snagging a Wild Card spot. In Monday's contest against the Colorado Rockies, Gilbert had the best game of his young big league career going 4-for-4 with a home run and two runs driven in.
