MLB.com sat down with Evans in his office at Scottsdale Stadium during the final days of Spring Training to discuss what he's learned from executive vice president of baseball operations Brian Sabean, what it was like watching Barry Bonds on a daily basis and why Buster Posey is so important to the Giants.
MLB.com: How did you land your first job in baseball?
Evans: I was getting ready for the second semester of my sophomore year of college and I just knew I wanted to do some type of internship. I reached out via letter and then eventually a phone call to the Red Sox in Boston.
