The San Francisco Giants flawless cream home uniforms are getting a controversial change: names. Yes, the Giants will be putting surnames on the back of the jerseys going forward, executive vice president of business operations Mario Alioto told KNBR.
“We will have names on the back of jerseys, and it’s been something we’ve been debating for years,” Alioto told the radio station, as transcribed by Kerry Crowley of the Bay Area News Group.
You can understand the decision, since the Giants have made it their mission the last two years to use as many players as possible.
