A group of MLB insiders — one that includes current and former team executives — believes that the San Francisco Giants have signed two of the worst free agents this offseason, according to a spring training survey administered by The Athletic.
The findings of the survey were published on Wednesday. The Athletic says that the group surveyed includes “31 baseball executives, former executives, coaches and scouts.” While there was a wide range of questions asked, the one where the Giants were most prominently featured was regarding the worst free agent signings.
Among the 30 names that received consideration, two newly acquired Giants players tied for second in the panel’s voting: Jordan Hicks and Jung-hoo Lee.
