Mets’ Noah Syndergaard throws 2-hitter to beat Giants

Three hits in 11 innings Saturday followed by two hits in nine innings Sunday.

That’s the output — actually, the lack of it — by the Giants’ offense over the weekend at AT&T Park. San Francisco absorbed its second straight loss to the Mets on Sunday. Noah Syndergaard recorded the first complete game of his four-year career in a 4-1 decision.

The right-hander they call “Thor” ended the game by getting Evan Longoria swinging for his 11th strikeout. He walked only one. Syndergaard improved to 10-3 this season.

Chris Stratton (9-8) sailed through the first inning, but the Mets got to him quickly in the second.
