As the San Francisco Giants clinched a season-ending victory over the San Diego Padres last Sunday, all eyes in McCovey Cove came to rest on a peculiar kayak.
This kayak was unlike the rest: Rigged to its back was a floating barbecue with oysters gently bubbling atop.
Capt. Brian Casey (who is not actually a captain, but wore a hat denoting such during the game in a nod to the injured Brandon Belt), piloted his vessel and served as head chef of the floating barbecue, too.
The Marin-based journalist said he rigged his creation, which he calls the AmphiBBQ Model 2000 Amphibious Assault BBQ, from an inner tube with a plank board attached to it.
