Between injuries and the COVID list the Giants had to scramble just to field a team and it showed in a lopsided series with the Nationals. Washington's hitters banged out 45 knocks (22+11+12) in the three games. Alex Cobb got hit hard in the opener as did relievers Yunior Marte and Kervin Castro. It's remarkable that the Giants were able to come back and hammer out a win in the second game.
