Longtime SF Giants beat writer Chris Haft has announced plans to retire this offseason.
According to a post on Chris Haft’s Twitter, the longtime SF Giants writer will be accepting an early retirement package from MLB.com. However, Haft does not plan to stop writing about baseball, “Thus I will keep writing baseball somehow. The game’s my north star, ushering me to the present and illuminating my path to the future.” He had worked as the MLB.com Giants beat writer for some time but had recently transitioned to a broader MLB focused position.
