Logan Webb forces issue for Giants, prospect Jaylin Davis might be doing the same

PHOENIX — Not all Northern California baseball players grow up with dreams of playing for the San Francisco Giants.

Logan Webb, a Rocklin, Calif. native who made his MLB debut for the Giants on Saturday, spent his youth cheering on the Oakland A’s.

His first career start was successful enough that his second will likely come at the Coliseum next weekend against the green and gold.

Webb became the first Giants starter in more than a decade to earn a win in his debut with five innings of two-run ball in a 11-6 victory on Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
