Instant Replay: Rockies offense too much, Giants lose 6-4

DENVER — After three tense days with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Giants got a rude welcome to Coors Field.

Early on it was a typical back-and-forth night at the park made for hitters, but the Rockies scored three in the sixth and never looked back, taking the first game of this series 6-4. The loss snapped a modest three-game winning streak for the Giants, who fell to 0-4 against the Rockies this season.

Chris Heston actually didn't pitch too poorly in his first game at Coors. He worked quickly, threw a lot of strikes and got his usual array of outs on the ground, but the Rockies doubled him to death.
