The Giants plan to give Travis Bergen and Drew Ferguson opportunities to win jobs out of Spring Training, and I think their status as Rule 5 Draft picks could give them a slight edge over their competitors. If Bergen and Ferguson aren't kept on the Giants' 25-man roster for the entire 2019 regular season, they must be offered back to their former teams (the Blue Jays and Astros, respectively) for $50,000.
