Hudson, Mulder, Zito: A's Big Three were money with a baseball

OAKLAND -- There is a cinematic flair to The Big Three reunion in Oakland this weekend, which is good since the "Moneyball" movie missed them completely. The old gang will get together for one last ride, taking the mound before they're over the hill.

Tim Hudson will start for the Giants on Saturday, with Barry Zito going for the A's. Mark Mulder will be on hand that day and will stick around Sunday to join The Big Three for a ceremonial first pitch. In a way, though, they'll all be ceremonial pitches. With the playoffs out of reach for both teams, the cheers this weekend serve as another round of applause for one of the greatest pitching eras in Oakland history.
