The immediate concern after Madison Bumgarner took a line drive off his arm in the San Francisco Giants win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday was his health.
The X-rays came back negative, but he was still was diagnosed with an elbow contusion on his throwing arm.
Now the concern shifts to how the injury will potentially impact his trade value.
Given that there is nothing broken, it’s unlikely the injury will change the fact that there will be a number of teams interested in trading for him in the coming weeks, and contending teams should still be salivating at the opportunity to land one of the most dominant World Series pitchers of all time.
