The SF Giants have fired manager Bob Melvin and are now searching for a replacement. Some fans are hoping the Giants can somehow poach Stephen Vogt from the Cleveland Guardians, but that is simply not going to happen.
It is easy to understand why some Giants fans want Vogt. He has been great with Cleveland, leading them to AL Central titles in each of his first two seasons as manager of the Guardians even though they just lost in the Wild Card series to the Detroit Tigers.

For those hoping this early bounce from the postseason will inspire Cleveland to move on from Vogt, or will make them more amenable to an exceptionally rare trade for a manager, that is just simply not going to happen.
