Golden Gate Ferry officials are under a tight deadline to overhaul the engines of three vessels in time for the start of the 2019 San Francisco Giants baseball season.
The M.V. Del Norte, M.V. Napa and M.V. Golden Gate all need the work. Ferry officials said the work had to occur soon to have boats ready for next year’s baseball season. The ferry to service to AT&T Park in San Francisco necessitates having several boats ready to press into service.
“It’s a relaxing, traffic-free ride with fellow Giants fans,” said Priya Clemens, ferry spokeswoman, of the service to Giants games.
