SCOTTSDALE -- Bruce Bochy only expects a handful of veterans in the lineup this week, and it'll be a bit longer before fans get to see the starting right fielder. Hunter Pence had an MRI on his sore Achilles on Monday afternoon and Bochy said Pence will sit out of Cactus League games for at least a week.
The Giants, however, maintain that Pence's injury is minor. Pence said he feels much better, and the MRI is just a precaution.
"I do want to get out there in games as soon as possible, but the most important thing is being conservative," he said.
