Giants pitcher pans MLB Hall of Fame for only picking David Ortiz, leaving out Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens

San Francisco Giants pitcher Alex Wood expressed his frustration with the National Baseball Hall of Fame voting process Tuesday after it was announced that the Baseball Writers’ Association of America elected just one player into Cooperstown, David Ortiz, and notably left off two of the greatest to ever play the game.

Those two players are Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, both of whom were mentioned in Wood’s tweet about the results.

You can’t tell the story of baseball without David Ortiz. Congrats to him. But if he can get into the HOF on the first try with a positive test on his resume then how in gods name does Bonds and Clemens not get in?
