As he gathered his belongs and prepared to leave the Giants’ clubhouse, Justin Maxwell turned down an interview request. He had nothing to say, at least for the public, and you can’t blame him. On a day of transition, Maxwell lost his job as the roster expanded.

Infielder Nick Noonan’s contract was purchased from Sacramento - and Maxwell was designated for assignment, almost certainly ending his time with the organization.
