SAN FRANCISCO -- Hunter Pence's batting practice session Monday apparently really, really impressed Giants management.
The right fielder is in Tuesday's lineup and hitting fourth, although the Giants have not officially made a roster move. They're waiting until after BP to make sure Pence gets through one more day of taking swings, and then a player will be taken off the active roster.
Pence has missed the last 30 games with tendinitis in his left wrist and earlier missed 36 games and most of spring training with a fractured forearm.
