One big decision will be whether to try to trade Brandon Belt. The longtime first baseman is no stranger to trade talks, and after a disappointing 2019 season, the front office may feel it’s time the team found a more productive option at the position.
Trading Belt will not be easy.
He’s owed $34.4 million over the next two years and while he finally managed to stay healthy for a full year in 2019, his final numbers left a lot to be desired.
