OAKLAND -- The Giants have set their pitching rotation for their upcoming series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but it's subject to change, depending on San Francisco's immediate fate.
Manager Bruce Bochy said Sunday that he and pitching coach Dave Righetti discussed possible adjustments in the sequence of starters in case the Giants are mathematically eliminated from the National League West race.
One option is pushing Tim Hudson's final start, which is currently scheduled for Thursday's series finale against the Dodgers, back by a day or two. Hudson threw only 34 pitches in 1 1/3 innings Saturday against the A's, but he walked three batters and could use more time to rest and address his pitching mechanics for what's likely to be his final career start.
