Giants Claim Hanser Alberto off Waiviers from the Orioles!
Scottsdale, AZ — The San Francisco Giants announced today that they have claimed infielder Hanser Alberto off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles.
Alberto appeared in 13 games with the Texas Rangers in 2018 and hit .185. The utility infielder made seven starts (three at second base, three at shortstop and one at third base). He spent the majority of last season with triple-A Round Rock and was named the team’s MVP.
