A.J. Pierzynski didn’t get one of those rings, of course. The catcher was the center piece of the November 2003 deal that sent Nathan, Francisco Liriano and Boof Bonser to Minnesota for Pierzynski, who had a rough season with the Giants before joining the White Sox, who won the 2005 World Series.
