SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- It was 89 degrees under an azure glare for the Giants' second workout of the spring Saturday. There was no morning cloud cover, no long sleeves, none of the warning signs to keep off the grass because of frost -- a danger the grounds crew would guard against every year when camp opened.
