Evan Longoria is close to returning to the Giants after a two month stint on the injured list. Longoria sustained a shoulder sprain in an infield collision with Brandon Crawford on June 5th, sidelining what had been one of his most productive seasons with the Giants thus far. Longoria started a rehab assignment with the Sacramento River Cats yesterday, meaning we can hope that a return to the Giants is imminent.
When he does, he’ll be returning to further stack a pretty stacked team. When I think about the current lineup with both him and Brandon Belt back in it, all I picture is that gif of the never-ending base-runners.
