Former A’s, Giants pitcher Tim Hudson ties up a loose end from 20 years ago

Pitchers and catchers will be reporting to spring training camps in five weeks. One former pitcher has already reported.

Surely you remember Tim Hudson?

Huddy, as he was known, won 92 games during six years in Oakland. His .702 winning percentage is tops in Oakland A’s history. Hudson spent the final two major league seasons of his 17-year career with the Giants, earning a World Series ring in 2014.

While the Bay Area no doubt recalls him fondly — what wasn’t there to like? — Hudson’s heart is in the South. Born in Columbus, Georgia, and reared in Salem, Alabama, he pitched for Auburn University.
