As George Springer carries the Houston Astros offense through the postseason, plenty of SF Giants fans are wondering if Farhan Zaidi will make a run at the outfielder this offseason in free agency.
Even after the Astros sign-stealing scandal was revealed, outfielder George Springer ranked among the best impending free agents in the 2020-21 offseason. The 31-year old has made three consecutive All-Star teams, won two Silver Slugger awards, and been one of the most consistent outfielders in baseball. For the SF Giants, Springer seemed like a natural free-agent target.
