SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.– As the Giants turn their attention toward identifying the next members of the team’s future core, president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi and new manager Gabe Kapler are preaching about the value of competition.
Outside of the 40 rostered players who will enter spring training with a chance to earn a job, nearly 30 others have received invitations to join the Giants at their major league camp in Scottsdale this spring.
