The SF Giants know their next manager will be Tony Vitello, but now they need to fill out the rest of the coaching staff. One potential bench coach makes almost too much sense given his experience and his ties with Vitello.
Jayce Tingler was the manager of the San Diego Padres from 2020 to 2021 after serving as an assistant coach for the Texas Rangers prior to that. He had a somewhat forgettable tenure in San Diego as he led the Friars to a record of 37-23 in the pandemic-shortened season. He followed that up with a 79-83 record in 2021 and was fired after that season.
