SF Giants fans may remember veteran reliever Lou Trivino from earlier this year. He had a rough time with the Giants and was let go before signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers. After some early success, his recent DFA has ended LA's victory lap.
The Dodgers designated Trivino for assignment recently. He pitched fairly well for Los Angeles overall, sporting a 3.76 ERA in 26 and 1/3 innings pitched. It seemed like the Dodgers may have been wise to poach him from San Francisco given how he was pitching. However, his last few outings were not as sharp which is probably why the Dodgers decided to DFA him.
