San Francisco Giants principal owner Charles B. Johnson simply cannot stop donating to the politicians he says he swore off six months ago.
According to new FEC filings reviewed by SFGATE, over the past few months, Johnson maxed out donations to four more right-wing House members who've called into question the legitimacy of the 2020 election, voted against ratifying election results in Pennsylvania and Arizona based on unfounded conspiracies and voted against the creation of a Jan. 6 outside commission.
In January, after SFGATE reported on Johnson's maxed-out donations to more than a dozen far-right politicians, Johnson issued a conciliatory statement in which he indicated he would not support — and would in fact seek refunds from — politicians who "do not honor our constitution or who espouse or assist in violence of any kind.
