Chris Stratton throws brilliant two-hit shutout to snap Giants losing streak

SAN FRANCISCO–The Giants are anticipating significant changes at various levels of the organization this offseason, but as the club gears up for 2019, it may not need to overhaul its starting rotation.

Since returning to the major leagues in August, Chris Stratton has flourished in a starting role and continued a strong run by leading the Giants to a 2-0 win over the first-place Rockies Friday.

The right-hander became the first Giants pitcher to throw a complete game this year as he tossed a two-hit shutout on 114 pitches to lead San Francisco to its first victory in September.
