Buster Posey may have just tipped off his first big SF Giants roster change

Buster Posey is admitting the San Francisco Giants have a problem with first base this season — and he may be setting up a former top prospect as a possible solution.

The Giants have given the majority of their opportunities at first base to LaMonte Wade Jr. this season, and the veteran is having a really tough season. Even after a two-hit game in Detroit on Wednesday, Wade is batting .171 with only one homer in 48 games. He’s got career-worst numbers in both on-base percentage (.278) and slugging percentage (.279).

Posey made one of his semi-regular appearances on KNBR’s “Murph and Markus” morning show on Thursday and was asked about first base.
