This is Bruce Bochy’s final weekend as a major league manager, and much has been said and written about what Bochy has meant for the Giants and for baseball. There will be more of that to come as the people he touched in this game come out to tell him goodbye. While everyone else is in the mode of reflecting on how Bochy has affected them, Bochy is in the “What are they going to do? Fire me?” stage of his career.
He’s sent in his two weeks, and it’d be more of a hassle to find a replacement for him than anything.
