SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Seattle Mariners outfielder Braden Bishop and San Francisco Giants prospect Hunter Bishop shared almost everything together growing up in San Carlos, Calif.
For the first time on Thursday, the brothers will share the same field. They’ll also play the same position.
Braden, a 26-year-old prospect in the Seattle Mariners organization, will start in center field when the Mariners host the Giants in Peoria for a Cactus League game. Hunter, a 21-year-old prospect and the Giants’ most recent first round draft pick, is slated to enter Thursday’s game as a substitute in center field when starter Mike Yastrzemski leaves the game.
