Former MLB superstar Alex Rodriguez FaceTimed with Barry Bonds and posted their conversation to his YouTube channel on Sunday. The two started their chat by talking about hitting mechanics, with Bonds doing a live demonstration of his tactics in the batters box. Nothing out of the ordinary, in other words, until the chat turned to the modern game.
Rodriguez mentioned the trend toward high-power, high-strikeout hitters in 2019. Bonds acknowledged that guys adapt to their surroundings, and doesn't blame the players of today for their all-or-nothing approach. He does, however, think that some players should bunt more.
