The San Francisco Giants already have Madison Bumgarner and Matt Cain at the top of their rotation, but could be looking for more pitching this offseason.
According to Ken Rosenthal, the Giants could target Washington pitcher Jordan Zimmermann in free agency.
Bumgarner and Cain will both be back next season, and the Giants have Jake Peavy under contract for one more season. Chris Heston will also compete for a starting role. However, Tim Lincecum, Tim Hudson and trade deadline acquisition Mike Leake will all be free agents.
That leaves at least one open spot in the rotation the Giants could fill with a free agent pickup.
