Quiet In AT&T

I have never heard AT&T Park so quiet like it was last night at the top of the twelfth inning. After an amazing comeback to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth, no one thought this morning would be spent trying to come to grips with what happen to Buster Posey.

With one out in the top of the 12th Emilio Bonifacio hit a ball to right field while USF alumni Scott Cousins tagging third waiting for the catch. Nate Schierholtz made the catch and Cousins broke. The crowd was going crazy anticipating a play at the plate. The cheers quickly went quiet and excitement turned to dishearten.  Posey was on the ground in pain.

There has been a lot of controversy if it was a clean play or not. As for myself I say it was a clean baseball play. Cousins just put the pressure on the young Giants catcher and it had a horrible outcome. I have seen post of there needs to be a rule change and that there was no need to collide with Posey. I would not see these post if it was a Giants colliding with John Buck to win the game in the bottom of the 12th.

This is a gut check for the San Francisco Giants and their fans. The most important thing now is Posey finding out what is wrong and to get better. Until Posey can return the rest of the Giants need to STEP IT UP.
