SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco earned their second consecutive overtime win when Marie Marlow took a free kick from Samantha Jehnings and blasted it to the back of the net in the 108th minute as the Dons (10-4-2/3-1-1 WCC) defeated visiting San Diego (6-7-1/2-3-0 WCC) 2-1 in the second overtime on Wednesday night at Negoesco Stadium.
"Our kids just battled, we gave up an early goal to a very good player from USD. We weren't as sharp as we needed to be in the first half," said head coach Jim Millinder.
